Hi. I'm Hannah Sell.
With just £350, and some ideas, I started Hannah Sell's Tea in 2015. I was never very well suited for the family piano business, since it involves a lot of piano moving as well as tuning. And my family, with great advice, told me to do what I love. So tea it is!
I have been a sole trader before, and this time knew I would need help to make it really work. I needed someone who loves tea, and who possesses all the skills I don't have, so that together we could run a small business.
Fortunately my best friend Kev Wilson is a warehouse man and tea lover, and has given countless hours of his time to help me set up and advertise the business, and develop the method we use to make our tea bags from scratch. Now I have a growing customer base, specialist teas, exclusive products and new requests every day from all over the world- and Kev is just starting out in the supply world!
This is Kev.
Kev is quite shy, and this is as much as you'll usually see of him when a camera comes out. He likes reading, appreciating nature, and tea. He's also great at maths and is experienced in warehousing, so has helped me to turn something which was just an idea into a real and functioning business.
And about the apostrophe...
I'm not making it up, Sell really is my surname.
Our family business is pianos, starting with our father John Sell the piano tuner. My brother Iain Sell is also a piano tuner with the wonderfully titled website: isellpianos.co.uk.
If you have a piano in need of tuning or moving in or around Norfolk I can't help you much, but you can get in touch with my father and brother here:
